Scott Pingel
Scott was hired as the Stanfield City Manager/Recorder in January 2010. Prior to coming to the City of Stanfield, Scott worked for the City of Federal Way, WA where he managed and coordinated special projects. He also worked briefly as a Performance Measurement Consultant for the City of Richland, WA before coming to the City of Stanfield. Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Public Administration degree from West Virginia University. Scott is married with 4 children.
The City of Stanfield operates under the council-manager form of government. In the council-manager form of government, the council is the governing body of the city, elected by the public, and the city manager is hired by the council to carry out the policies it establishes. The city manager is the administrative head of the city government and serves as the council's chief advisor. The city manager is responsible for preparing and administering the budget, directing day-to-day operations, and hiring and firing personnel.
